CHAPLI KEBAB RECIPE
Introduction of Chapli Kebab and Origen:
Chapli Kebab
is a Pashtun style crushed kebab. It is made from beef, mutton or chicken with
various spices in the shape of a patty. Chapli kebab originally came from Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Peshawar. It’s a traditional dish. Chapli Kebab is usually made
from beef and is famous in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Peshawar (northern areas) and
other parts of Pakistan. It’s popular street food in Peshawar as well as in
eastern Afghanistan. It can also be found in Bangladesh and India. Originally
Chapli Kebab is made with beef now it can be found in chicken and lamb. Chapli
Kebab recipe has evolved adding traditional spices to it but in Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) still prepared with minimum ingredients. Chapli Kebab is most
popular during the time of Eid-Ul-Azha. It is also a part of Iftar during
Ramzan-ul-Mubarak. In India, Chapli Kebab has also been found as street food in
Delhi, Lucknow and Hyderabad where Muslims have a large population.
Chapli Kebab is a delicious dish. It is also easy to make in-home with the
instructions given below.
Today we will make Chapli Kebab. They are very tasty and easy to make. So, let’s take meat and also fat. Ensure must be 20% fat. Chapli Kebab is better if you have 20% fat. So let’s see what we have to need to make this Chapli Kebab and how it is made:
Ingredients:
- Onions (02)
- Green Chilli (4/5)
- Ginger (1 inch)
- Garlic (4/5)
- One and a half kilo meat
- pomegranate seeds
- Salt to taste
- Hot Spices
- Coriander Powder
- Red Chilli
- Lemon

How to Prepare
Chapli Kebab:
1. Grind the 02 Onions, 04 or 05 green Chilli, 1-inch ginger and 04
or 05 garlic.
2. Take about one and a half kilos of meat. It is important to
find a tune.
3. The finer the price, the better the Chapli Kababs.
4. Sometimes it has been noted that Chapli Kabab breaks quickly
but do not break if the qima is finely chopped.
5. Take pomegranate seeds and grind them well.
6. Pomegranate seeds will
be added to the qima. Salt to taste. Half a teaspoon of hot spices. One
teaspoon of coriander powder. Two teaspoons of red chilli. 02 teaspoon of crushed
coriander. Squeeze the lemon.
7. Add Onion, Green Chilli, ginger and garlic past (point #1) and mix well.
8. When all the spices are well mixed, place them into the fridge to
marinate for one hour.
9. After one hour, put out the marinated meat. Apply water well
on the hand and made loaf. Spread well with hands after making the loaf.
10. Place the pan on the stove. Put cooking oil in the pan and put
this spread in the oil.
11. There is only one reason why kebabs are broken and that is
thick qima so make qima as thin as possible then kebab will never break.
12. Cook the Kebabs well in cooking oil and remove.
13. Your Kebabs are ready and now you can enjoy their wonderful
taste.
